T901 Yellow Brass Body and Keywork, Gold lacquered, Engraved Yanagisawa consider this tenor to be a true professional horn. It is made of brass, engraved and and offered in a clear lacquer finish. This tenor has terrific intonation and
power. The secret? It uses the same body, tone hole geometry and metallurgy as the T991. Very affordable for such a good sax. New for 2004:
Long rod (high F# and side index E) stack keeper in brass, not plastic. |
|
T902 Solid Bronze Body, Yellow Brass Keywork, Clear lacquered, Engraved This saxophone shares every construction detail with the T901 except for
the fact that the neck, body, bow and engraved bell are made of bronze with a clear lacquer coat to protect it. This metal imparts a sound with greater emphasis on the fundamental and is for those who value
the unique dark sound and deeper coloration only a bronze instrument provides. |
|
T991 Yellow Brass Body and Keywork, Gold lacquered, Engraved The T991 has several significant enhancements over the T901. 1) Fully ribbed body. These reinforcements under the keywork posts help maintain key and rod alignment. 2)
Double arm key mechanisms for the low C and B keys keep these troublesome keys rock solid. Only Yanagisawa offer this feature. 3) Improved low C#-B seesaw mechanism facilitates this transition. 4)
Gold-plated thumb hook and rest resists corrosion and abrasion. 5) Over / under neck key mechanism keeps this fragile part well protected. G) G# touch in pearl, not lacquered brass. 7) Adjustable
felt bumper screws in brass, not plastic. |

Plastic pad reflectors are switched to metal to add power back to the dark sound. A very very special horn with a great warm tone. |
